Fuji Rebrand Project
Photography is drawing with light.
The concept behind the Fuji logo
re-design is a camera obscura. Light from an external scene passes through the hole and strikes the surface inside, reproducing an upside down image. These semi-fictional exhibition posters were created using the Photographer Abelardo Morell's work.
Identity System Design: Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival
The various colors of the rectangle shapes for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival logo represent an array of cultures that are both diverse and unified together. The project mandated a rebrand highlighting a complex cultural identity using the visual space of typography across multiple platforms.
Pasadena Indie Music Festival
Fictional rebranding of the Pasadena Indie Music Festival based on concepts of expression, saturation, and un-refinement using a hand-drawn style that I was inspired by indie music. Through this exercise, I focused my feelings on indie music and created illustrations that could be used in various modes: posters, brochures, products, billboards, and other environmental graphics.

Logo design I did during 2014.
Had a lot of fun working on it.
Interactive Design / Identity System Design: EVA Air iPad Application
The new brand image of EVA Air is energetic, stable, and friendly. The concept of the logo design emphasizes the elegant curve shape of the airplane’s fin, as well as its new brand colors, each representing a different spirit: yellow-energetic; green-friendly; and grey-stable.
The iPad app EVERGREEN serves as a part of EVA Air’s rebrand and highlights the beauty of Taiwan. Eva Air is a Taiwan-based airline which founded in 1989, the international flights to and from Asia, Europe, and North America. It has been one of the majors airways
Packaging Design: Radiohead
Packaging design for the band Radiohead. The art direction was inspired by the band's music and spirit using high contrast imagery, intense saturation, and merged layer styles. These graphic elements were applied to CD cases, boxes, brochures, and posters.
Movie Poster Design
Movie poster design for "Cabaret".
I romanticized two of the most essential elements from the movie—the main character's beautiful eyes and sexy beauty mark. I incorporated these icons into the actual typeface, Lubalin, to create the type-based poster.
Poster Design : Walk Hard - Dewey Cox Story - Homage to Saul Bass
This is a piece of memorabilia that Dewey Cox would have had on the wall in his den. This is an adaptation of Saul Bass's design style from the original film poster for Saint Joan using scene and story elements from Walk Hard.

Protest Poster Design
The objective of this Communication Design project was to choose a controversial subject and show a
trong position through a poster. This poster uses the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and the seventeen victims of his case to make an argument pro capital punishment.
Hand-drawn typography + Illustration
Background and prop design for the movie, Guys and Dolls.
Instructor: Paul Rogers
This project emphasizes historical graphic influences using a modern world point of view. Inspired by the movie Guys and Dolls, I created illustrations that include environmental graphic design, signage, and hand-drawn typography. The street scenes include classic buildings around New York’s Time Square in the 1950's, such as Mindy's Restaurant, Hot Box Nightclub, and Sav-A-Soul Mission. The poster for Miss Adelaide's dance show at Hot Box Nightclub plays an important role in the movie.
